Being On Fire

One of the highlights of the reception program which was specifically stated in the invitation card is Fire Ceremony. At that time I didn't have a clear idea what kind of ceremony it will be. I only knew I must include it because the fire element is an important element in romance. Romance without fire is not romance.

I discussed possibilities with the owner of the reception venue. Alas, fire is not allowed in the area. Just a little fireworks perhaps. It would seem that I must think of some other means of presenting fire other than its physical form.

I visited the venue again lately, during an evening party to which the owner invited me, to show me the band she's recommending and for me to have an idea what the place looks like in the evening. Arion, my escort, walked with me around the place. When we got to the pool, he knew what the fire ceremony will have to be, considering the owner's safety requirements concerning fire.

Well, well, well, fire with water. What are an exciting idea!

Coming-Together Vow

My sister whose wedding I am organizing has the book "The Vortex: Where the Law of Attraction Assembles All Cooperative Relationships" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. On IM chat today, I asked her to open the book to page 144, and read to me what a coming-together vow is like for those who are in the vortex. She read the passages to me. How different the vow is compared to the accepted standard. It doesn't mention about a till-death-do-us-part, or anything about sickness and poverty. Rather, it mentions about taking responsibility for one's happiness such that there is happiness to share to the partner.

I wonder what my sister's vow is going to be like.

Spellworks for Holistic Artistry

I seem to be getting really good at attracting what I want through deliberately focusing my intent and tuning in to the vibration of being, doing, or having what I desire.  I understand that putting myself in this state of feeling good as if the desire were already satisfied is not a guarantee of eventual manifestation. But it does put me in a state where I am eager and ready to receive it. Does it matter if I don't get it? No, I will not cry. But why even think of that unwanted possibility? I want what I want and I am happily expecting it to come true, as soon as now.

One thing that is in my desire list for this wedding event is having this amazing holistic artist create the set design at the reception party and floral arrangements in the church: Henry Chua, my new-found "brother" who claims to be in love with life.

I think it is from this photo where I cropped out my face for my facebook profile photo. This wall painting made by Henry was commissioned by former Health Secretary Dayrit for the Traditional Health Clinic of PGH. Gazing at the wall painting reportedly gave the patients a lighter feeling, of wellbeing.

I want, I want, I want this artist on my set. I know he knows best how to set the mood of the reception and church venues to be very very romantic.

Purple Sliced Heart

My mentor in Toastmasters once shared with me the importance of having an event logo, more in the context of marketing. As one objective of this wedding event is to create a memory imprint that is hard to erase in the minds of the guests and the couple themselves, I figure a great logo design is in order.

With a little cartwheel routine, I finally had my preferred logo graphics artist, Skeptronz, agree to do the logo design. My main specification is that it should be able to invoke romantic feelings along with the remembrance of the event.

I can hardly wait to see what comes out of the artist's easel!
