Composer's Song Choices

Interacting with artists is a source of joy organizing this event. Today, I chatted with a composer friend I will introduce for the time being as Xephan, who is now in Thailand. We were together a few years back in a presentation of bio-information (bio-i) technology, I doing the blah blah and he playing the organ that delivers bio-i through sound. Xephan is a very talented musician and arranger whose forte is evoking emotions in the listeners. He had plenty practise doing this, growing up as the leader of the band of the church his father is pastoring. (Tama ba ingles ko?) He would naughtily play unexpected in the middle of a testimony, reducing the speaker into a pail of tears. Ahay, what's happening to my figures of speech? Never mind me simply being me, unedited.

I expressed to Xephan my desire to have his composition for the bridal march. Now let me see what emotions I want him to evoke.

His recommendations, which I am not as interested in but just wish to note here for easy reference:

Green Tea Farm by Hiromi Huehara

First Kiss by Jim Chappell
The Day I Married My AngeL by Jamie Foxx

Xephan, sweet one, I look forward to the dramatic effect of your music for my event.
